Temple of Baal Markod
The temple of Baal Markod built centuries ago is today
just a pile of ruins: some columns still stand and a part of the walls is
not totally destroyed. Other smaller parts of the temple are still
conserved. However, all those pieces don't actually show us how the temple
looked like at its time. That is why it's been virtually reconstructed by a
professional architect in every aspect based on the current ruins and on
historical documents describing the temple.

Convent St John
The St John Convent, destroyed during the Lebanese
civil war, is currently being reconstructed by the Antonin Maronite Order. A
part of the work was a virtual reconstruction of the convent. What you see
in the following images is very close to what the convent will be like at
the end of the construction work. The ruins of the Temple of Baal Markod
will not be destroyed or moved away but will be part of the reconstruction
project.
