The church, constructed alongside the convent, was
built on the wall of the temple of "Baal Markod". It height is 32 meters and
its width 16 meters. On the top of the main entrance, the date of foundation
(1762) and the name of the founder (Father Abraham Aoun) are engraved. It is
told that the church was destroyed and rebuilt several times.
